WILD LIFE PICNIC

All around both Polar Zoo, both inside the animal park and near the playgrounds, you will find campfires and barbaque areas perfect for enjoying a good family picnic. Some of the locations have shelters, so you can sit warm, compfy and protected from occasional bad weather.

We especially recomend that you venture into the animal park and have a wild life picnic! Sit high up overviewing the wolves and wolverines and get one of the best nature vieuws in Polar Zoo, join the bears for lunch or enjoy a perfect view of the lynx enclosure together with a nice barbeque!

In the Polar Café you can buy all you need to light the fire and put together your picnic basket!



WITNESS THE BEAUTIFUL NATURE - ALL YEAR!

The nature surrounding the Salang Valley in which Polar Zoo is situated, is in itself, an eye opening experience for anyone who is not familiar with the nature of northern Norway.

Every season makes for an enjoyable wild life and nature experience wether it is during spring, summer, autumn or winter.



MINIGOLF

Near the rabbit pen and one of the shelters, you can enjoy a game of mini golf overlooking the beautiful mountains in the background.



GO FISHING

One way to experience the grand nature of the Salang valley is to spend some quality time fishing for salmon in the great river that runs through Polar zoo.

We have set up a fishing ramp near the bridge from which you can easily access a good fishing spot. However - you are free to walk both up and down stream as you see fit.

The possibility to go fishing is open all year. We especially recomend flyefishing during the summer and ice fishing during the winter!

In order to enjoy fishing you must aquire a temporary fishing licence. The can be purcased in the Polar Zoo café.
